Chapter 5
Colleen didn't know what to say. She was so confused, hadn't she gotten through to him. Aparently not. She was sad, but she was also happy, she wanted to just kiss him and say "Yes, JT I will be with you." but she couldn't find herself to say it.
"Colleen, be with me. Please?" he asked again, thinking maybe she didn't hear him before. But she did hear him; she was just choosing not to respond.
"JT, I can't. We can't do this. It won't work." she insisted. As soon as she had realized what she said, she wanted to slap herself and say "Get ahold of yourself, you love him, he loves you." was she going insane? No she was just utterly confused.
"Why not, Colleen? We have nothing to hide. You came back to Genea City for a reason Colleen, I know it. So did I, I was hoping that maybe if I had come back that there might be a slight chance I might see you again. And see, I was right." he said loudly. He wanted to kiss her, hold her, like he had so many times in the past. But the past was gone, he could no longer dwell on it. He needed Colleen. NOW.
"We just can't, JT. You still have your career, and I don't want to feel the way I did in the past. I would go insane." the truth was she was already insane, by saying no to JT's offer. He wanted them back together, as did she.
"Penny for your thoughts." he said as Colleen jumped back to reality. She stared long and hard at him. He really was meaning what he said. She maybe thought that he just wanted a piece of ass. But JT wasn't like that anymore, she should have known that. He was staring her, as she started to feel a little self-concious.
"I was just thinking about how my dad is going to react when he see's that I am home, again." she replied taking a step back from his embrace.
"No you werent, you were thinking about me, about us. I know you Colleen, and I know you still love me." he said while stepping closer to fill that space in between them.
"I never said I didn't, JT. Of course I still love you, I will always love you. It's just..." she was interupted when JT grabbed her and laid one-hell-of-a kiss on her. She wanted to fight him, but she couldn't find the strength. He made her weak, he always had. The kiss was sweet and gentle, she moaned and that made JT happy, it made him know that deep down inside Colleeen still wanted to be with him. She wanted this, what he had been longing to do--kiss her. He finally pulled away and stared deeply into her big blue-eyes.
Colleen couldn't bare herself to look back at him. She felt anxious, and disappointed. She took in a deep breath and let it out. That was her way of relieving herself. With his thumb and index finger, JT lifted up Colleen's head so she could look at him in the eye. He soon asked, "What about now, Colleen? You still don't want to be with me?" She grinned and replied "Nope. But thanks for this kiss though, it made me realize how much I have changed, I don't need you. Sorry." with that she left, leaving JT standing there in the driveway alone. He knew she was bluffing, he was going to prove to her once and for all that they needed to be together, but how?
As soon as Colleen turned around the block corner, she started sobbing. Why did she say such a thing. What had just happened back there was the most incredible thing. Well all Colleen had to do now was to face her father.
