She stared at him; her eyes melting into his, her heart racing with every passing moment. Lyndsy couldn’t move, she couldn’t scream.
“Get the hell out of here, now.” A drop of perspiration slipped down her face as she pulled the blanket over her exposed body.
“I just wanted to say hello. Didn’t want to do you any harm. You know, just get you a little excited for your first day back. I asked your mom about coming in and she didn’t seem to have a problem. Loosen up a bit.” A grin spread across his face and he pushed back a lock of blond hair.
“I said get out of here.” Her breathing increased as he stepped closer.
“Baby let me just show you how much I care for you.”
“STOP IT, STOP!” No one heard Lyndsy. The shower was still running and her sister had just left for school. She was alone. He walked towards her and sat on the edge of her bed. His hands began touching her cheek, caressing her legs, roaming down her stomach. There was nothing she could do because she couldn’t say no; she couldn’t resist him.
He heard it at the same moment she did. The shower turned off with a loud creek and minutes later footsteps came from down the hall. Her mother knocked on the door. Lyndsy readjusted her clothes and wiped the tears from her eyes.
“Oh hi, I hope was interrupting. Lyndsy I see you’ve been polite enough to talk with your guest. Did you thank him yet?” Her mother’s eyes twinkled with happiness and love, her cheeks red and warm.
“For what Mom?” Why should I thank him?”
“The car of course. It was, after all, his idea. Your step-dad knew that you’d love another set of wheels.”
“I guess you’re looking for these.” He threw over a set of keys, marked BMW and walked out of the room.
“Thanks Mom,” Lyndsy whispered. She turned her face towards the wall, not wanting to cry in front of her mother.
“Well, I think you owe someone else an apology. You weren’tvery nice to him you know?”
“And to who would you be referring to?” Lyndsy’s voice was filled anger and disgust.
“Stop being fresh, because you have the best step-father a girl could wish for.” And with that she left the room.
