His parents sat attentively in the front row; his mother weeping, and his father comforting her as they observed him standing in front of the minister. He looked incredibly handsome dressed in a black tuxedo; almost like a different person. It was hard to believe that this day had come. The athletic club roof top was beautifully decorated. Flowers, candles, ribbons, and the beautiful evening sky served as the perfect backdrop for this momentous occasion.
Family and friends decked out in their very best were appropriately seated according to their relationship to the bride and groom. Among themselves, they chatted about the young couple they arrived to celebrate. How they evolved, matured, and developed to this point of commitment; many thoughtful words and well wishes were made. The music cued, the chatter hushed, and everyone turned to the stairway, waiting for the bride to make an entrance.
He straightened his tie and jacket one last time; pulling himself together, preparing for his bride. A little anxiety and a lot of nervousness quietly invaded him as he looked up. It seemed she was floating down the stairs; a lovely vision in an elegant white gown carrying a small bouquet of red roses. Her eyes sparkled and her cheeks blushed; a smile quickly warmed her face when she saw him. He tried to smile back, but was unsuccessful. Her grace and beauty immobilized him.
When she reached him, her father lifted her veil; kissed her cheek; and gave her hand to him. Face to face, they looked upon each other in awe. Their eyes met, and the reality of the event took hold. The guests were seated and the minister stepped forward. He glanced at the bride and the groom; then turned his attention to all the loved ones present. “Dearly beloved, we are all gathered here to celebrate and witness the union of these two souls.” he proclaimed; his strong commanding voice echoing throughout the setting.
“Before you are joined together in marriage in my presence and the presence of these your family and friends, let me remind you of the solemn and firm nature of the relationship into which you two are about to enter.” The couple looked to the priest, taking in his every word. “Marriage is a commitment between two people to the exclusion of all others, entered into with the desire, the hope, and the true intention that it will last for the rest of your life. It’s making a vow that together you will stand as one, loving each other and sharing your future as it comes.” The bride and groom return their gaze toward each other. Hand in hand, they stare and reflect as the minister’s words confront them.
“Friends, we have been invited here today to share with JT and Mackenzie, the most important moment in their lives. Let us rejoice and witness as they pledge their love and faithfulness to one another.” The minister turned to the bride. “Do you, Mackenzie Browning, take Jeffrey Todd Hellstrom to be your lawful husband? Will you love him, honor him, and keep him in sickness and in health; forsaking all others, keeping only unto him so long as you both shall live?” She answered, “I will”. Accepting her response, the minister nodded and turned to the groom. “Do you, Jeffrey Todd Hellstrom, take Mackenzie Browning to be your lawful wife? Will you love her, honor her, and keep her in sickness and in health; forsaking all others, keeping only unto her so long as you both shall live?” He didn’t respond. The minister nudged him with a whisper, “JT?” His lips parted, but no words came out. A bustle of mumbles and whispers erupted from the crowd.
The mutters grew louder as the attention left him and fell upon a late arrival at the top of the stairs. A young woman had made her way inside and was descending the stairs. Pure radiance exuded from her; her make-up was perfect, and her hair moderately pinned up with soft wavy wisps framing her face. She wore a satin, V-neckline, form fitting, champagne colored dress with spaghetti straps criss-crossing the low cut back. JT saw her and looked on as she made her way down. She was flawless. Her beauty was devastating. But her beauty wasn’t the only thing that devastated JT; it was who she was, what she was, and still is…to him.
“JT don’t!” she cried. “You’re here” he let out. “Yes, and I can’t let you do this. I can’t let you marry her.” They were now only a few feet away from each other. Surrounded by gasping guests, she went on to explain her presence; and he responded. All their words were heard, every exchange witnessed; they continued as if they were alone in their own cozy little world.
“You can’t marry her” she claimed, “Because you still feel the same way about me that I feel about you.”
“How do you know how I feel?”
“I can see it in your eyes.” She moved closer and they stared for a long time into each others eyes. Their connection was so loving; so powerful. Everyone around them was silent; no one dared to interrupt the magical encounter unfolding before them, not even the bride. “We said that we will always love each other; that’s still true for me, I love you so much.” He continued to stare without a word. “Think about everything we’ve been through, everything we’ve had to overcome, all the incredible times that we’ve shared; we belong together. All that matters is that we love each other; and that we make each other happy.” She waited for his reply, but he had no words for her. “Say something.” He looked over at his bride and took his position by her side.
“I tried” she shrugged with a defeated tone. “I finally got up the nerve to tell you how I really feel about you….call you on your own feelings for me; but you’re still going to marry her aren’t you?” He silently looked down. “I guess I have my answer.” She slowly turned and walked away; picking up the pace as she approached the stairway. Running up the first three, she heard him call out her name, “Colleen!” She paused for moment, closing her eyes; then she took a breath, opening them, and hurried up the stairway.
“Colleen” JT mumbled; his head flailing from side to side. He ruffled the sheets, grasped a pillow, and his eyes flew open. Lying motionless, his eyes roamed the room. It was bright and airy; marginally decorated, he could see the morning sunlight peeking through the windows. Sitting up, he found himself in a king- sized bed wearing only boxers. Hearing the shower being turned off, he remembered that he wasn’t there alone. Suddenly, it came to him that he had been dreaming; but the wedding wasn’t a dream he realized, spotting the gold band on his left ring finger. “I did get married.” he whispered to himself looking down at it.
The noise from the bathroom door opening made him look up. In the doorway with damp wavy hair and a towel barely covering her body, stood the most beautiful woman he had ever known; his wife. A tremendous smile covered his face as he took cognizance of her. “You’re awake.” she smiles. Her eyes followed him as he got up to meet her in the doorway. “Good morning” she grinned, enjoying their close proximity. He began a gaze that started in her eyes, led down her body, and ended on her lips. “Good morning yourself.” he whispered, kissing the diamond ring on her finger. “I am sooo glad I married you Colleen.”
“Me t..” she slurred as he immediately captured her mouth with his in a passionate kiss.
As they kissed, JT’s hands traveled quickly; tugging the towel away from Colleen. It fell to the floor; and he lowered his mouth, creating a trail of sensual kisses that led to her breasts. He spent some time there, moving his mouth repeatedly over each mound; Colleen sharply drew in a breath. She let it out as he pushed her back against the wall and pinned her hands high above her head. From her mouth down to her stomach, he ravished her; and she enjoyed every second of it, panting and gasping for more. He took her mouth again in a deep kiss and she moved arousingly against him; he moaned hoarsely against her lips showing his satisfaction. He released her hands and they made a slow journey down his neck and across his shoulders. She moved up his back, under his arms, and grazed his chest. Her fingertips skated down his abdomen and headed for his boxers. She pushed them down and he stepped out of them.
Freeing himself, he pulled one of her legs up around his hips; and then he pulled up the other. He slipped both hands between her and the wall, and caressed her bottom. Her arms quickly flew up; one snaked around his neck and the other rested across his shoulder. She tilted her head and angled her mouth over his. He eagerly responded and their tongues did an erotic dance. They broke the kiss suckling and nipping each others lips; and his forehead fell to lie against hers.
Supporting her against the wall, he eased inside of her. She tightened her legs around him and clung to his shoulders. He slipped in further and she gasped; as her inner muscles clenched around him, he began to gasp too. With steady movement, he began to thrust; losing himself in the pleasurable feel of her. And in her own pleasure, she rocked against him at a relentless pace of her own. Their mouths came together fiercely as the love and desire between them mounted and exploded; intensifying even more than the first time they were together on their wedding night.
He surged even deeper, and she cried out. Catching the sound in his mouth, he surged again. Her hands ran through his hair wildly as he kissed her and moved boldly inside of her. With the exquisite sensation of her moving rhythmically on him, he fought to keep the waves of eruption at bay; but when he felt how close she was to completion, he let his body take over and reveled in their impending climax.
They cried out, gasped, and moaned until their ecstasy subsided. Colleen peeled herself off JT and leaned back against the wall. Managing to get his arms around her, he spun her so that she could rest against him on the wall. After their breathing returned to normal, they shared a few little kisses and took a shower together. He bathed her back and she bathed his; but between each soapy exchange, they couldn’t resist kissing and exploring more.
JT got out of her shower and toweled off, then reached back to help Colleen. Minutes later, they exited the bathroom in his and hers terrycloth robes. Deciding to skip breakfast and eat a late brunch, they settled down on the bed. JT sat down and leaned back on the headboard. He pulled Colleen to him, allowing her back to rest against his chest; and his arms to find a home around her waist.
“So this is how the rest of our life will be, huh?” Colleen asked, nudging up to JT. “Yep, and everyday it’ll get even better.” She endearingly reached back and slid her hand along his face. “I am so happy with you JT.”
“Not half as happy as I am with you.” She sighed, melting into his arms. JT got quiet for while. “What are you thinking about?” she whispered. “You…and how determined you are. Even back when we first met and we weren’t allowed to see each other, you were so determined not to let anyone or anything keep us apart….and yesterday at the wedding, you showed up determined to keep me from making a mistake with Mac.” Colleen sat up and faced JT. “Some people may call that being pushy.”
“No, it’s determination; and that’s one of the things I love about you. If it wasn’t for you Col, we probably wouldn’t be here right now; married, with our whole lives ahead of us.”
“Well, if you hadn’t come after me….”
“Yeah…you would’ve kept going up those stairs and walked right out of my life again, probably forever.”
“But that didn’t happen.” Colleen smiled. “You finally admitted your true feelings and we got married.”
“I couldn’t lose you again Blue Eyes.” JT stated, brushing her cheek with his thumb. “Well Mr. Hellstrom, you’re stuck with me now.”
“There’s no one else on this planet that I’d rather be stuck with than you, Mrs. Hellstrom. You have no idea how much you mean to me.” He moved his finger to her chin and lifted her face up to his. “I love you so much.”
“I love you too.”
Several months later, Colleen and JT returned to Genoa City. Straight from the airport, they were whisked to the athletic club for a reception honoring them. Gina had put it together to celebrate their marriage and welcome them home. Regardless of everything they’ve been through, Gina had always believed that they were perfect for each other and their love was one that would stand the tests of time and last forever. Before they made their entrance, Colleen and JT could see all the Genoa City residents seated in the dinning room. Their entire family was there as well as all their friends; people who rooted for them and those who conspired against them; and there were also certain individuals present that were hurt by them.
Colleen became a little nervous about how they would be treated, but her husband calmed her anxieties. He took her hand, interlaced his fingers with hers, and stated, “There is nothing that we can’t face or overcome together. It’s you and me forever Baby!” She smiled, strengthened by his faith and courage. Reaching up, she kissed him; it started as a soft peck, but quickly evolved into an intense passionate exchange. Gina gladly introduced the couple as she removed the tarp concealing them. “Ladies and Gentlemen; our guests of honor, Mr. & Mrs. JT Hellstrom!” The crowd rallied and cheered as Colleen and JT are revealed in their loving embrace.
After dinner and a little mingling with guests, JT and Colleen had an encounter that they would never forget. Mackenzie politely came up to congratulate them. She looked lovely; glowing and beaming. After some awkward moments and a few sarcastic comments, she shared her news with them. “I’m happy for you and Colleen.” she told JT. “Everything turned out for the best. I’m happier now than I’ve ever been; and I owe that to one person.”
“Who’s that?” JT asked. Colleen saw Kevin coming towards them and nudged JT will her elbow as Mac answered his question. “I owe it all to my husband,” Kevin walked up and she slipped her arm around him. “Kevin.” Kevin greeted them, “Hi JT, Colleen, welcome back.” Suspended total in shock, Colleen gasped, “You married Kevin?” and JT asked, “Kevin Fisher is your husband?” in unison. Mac answered, “Yes” and gave her husband a big hug. Colleen and JT looked at each other in disbelief. “Has Mac told you our other news?” Kevin inquired. Colleen and JT were too flabbergasted to answer. “We’re having a baby!” Kevin beamed.
In their hotel room that night, JT and Colleen discussed Mac and Kevin. “Can you believe Mac married that psycho?” JT asked, removing his shoes and clothes. “I almost hit the floor when they told us about the baby.”
“Yeah, psycho junior.”
“I don’t know if I should be happy for Mac or terrified for her….and to bring a child into a situation like that….”
“I just hope she knows what she’s in for.”
Colleen pulled on her sheer nightgown and got into bed. She studied JT for a while, and asked humbly, “Did it bother you at all?”
“What, Mac’s news?”
“Yeah”
“No”
“Come on JT, you were about to marry her yourself. It must bother you a little.”
“No” he pulled up his boxers and got into bed next to her. “It really doesn’t bother me Colleen.” Turning to face her he explained, “If that had been you, married to Fisher or any other guy, it would bother me; it would bother the hell outta me. But Mac….” he threw up his hands, “I just hope she’s really happy. I still don’t think he’s the right guy for her; he’s unstable…and that bothers me, but Mac moving on with her life doesn’t. Do you know why?”
“Why” Colleen indulged him. “Because I have the sexiest, most beautiful, most wonderful woman in the entire world as my wife.”
“Are you talking about me?” she blushed coyly. “Of course I’m talking about you.” he smiled, pulling her close. “We’re gonna have an incredible life Col.”
“We already do.” she whispered. “You can say that again.”
“We already do.” she repeated, teasing him. “Come here!” he laughed, pulling her on top of him; and showering her with kisses.
